I wasn't initially sold on Strixhaven as far as MtG sets, until I picked up a box of set boosters on a whim. I was mainly looking to get some Mystical Archives cards, so I opted to pick up a box and see what happens. I was very happy with my purchase, pulled some really good cards, and had a great time opening the box on Discord with friends. Even got some good cards from The List, which consists of 300 cards that could show up in packs. I even pulled a Liliana, The Last Hope alongside a borderless Professor Onyx in the same pack, which had my friend and I laughing.Of course, what you pull is still luck of the draw, but I got a good number of valuable cards and some awesome Mystical Archive alts of cards I really like. The set even started to change my mind about my feelings on it, when I actually started reading a lot of the uncommon and rare spells available, since the creatures really didn't interest me. The spells, on the other hand, all struck me as very useful, some of which took a different approach on numerous situations. Like finding some spells for Black that offered more removal of enchantments and artifacts instead of creatures, a form of removal Black normally lacks. All in all, I had an afternoon of fun and exciting pulls. I'll likely pick up another box down the line!I got a legit box of cards, no tampering or resealing, so appreciate that. As for the Strixhaven set, it puts out a lot more multicolored cards which I've always loved, and the magic school theme is adorable. The Learn/Lesson mechanic is fun and allows you to be fairly versatile when constructing your decks and having the right card response to the right situation. The Mystical Archive cards are gorgeous, but as another user said, they're not always going to be playable in a standard/pioneer format, so be sure to check the legality before bringing them to a tournament. For casual play though, they're great, and add a lot of color and beautiful art.It came on time and everything was in order I didn't get very lucky with mithics but that's just luck of the drawTrying to get a good deal on this set I made the mistake of ordering here. Came almost as described but pretty sure the package was tampered with much like all tcg on here. Either this set is just bad and doesn’t have much to any rates and mythical or I got a used box and can’t really judge the contents. Don’t know how they can’t tell these boxes have been tampered with.MTG loot box, 2.0 You get what you pay for, aim for a low priceIf you buy MTG for playing — especially standard — and don’t care about “the collectors market” this box (i.e. the set booster pack) isn’t really for you, at least (or maybe especially) with Strixhaven. The reason is simple: all booster pack products have a system of slots that determines how many cards of each rarity-type you’ll get, and the “best cards” tend to be in the mythic/rare/uncommon subsets. The problem with Strixhaven specifically is that STX booster packs have chances to contain a number of cards you may or may not want. The “magic archive” cards are not part of Strixhaven, and aren’t necessarily part of standard, but there’s a pretty good chance you will get multiple archive cards per set booster, and while they may be great for non-standard formats like modern, legacy, etc, you have to check each card to see what it’s legality is.And then inexplicably there’s a (somewhat small) chance that the mythic rare slot will contain a magic archive card in Japanese — don’t get me wrong, It’s great that MTG is translated to a bunch of languages, I don’t have anything against Japan, it’s people, or the language, and the Japanese cards have special Japanese art history type designs —the cards I got are beautiful. But I can’t read them, so the 3 or 4 I got felt a little useless, and those packs didn’t have an English MR card, so it felt like I didn’t really get a full booster pack. I also looked up their resale value and while they weren’t worth nothing, they had a max resale value of one or two dollars, so not really worth the effort of selling. They look nice on my shelf I guess. But anyway, after opening the box of booster packs I definitely regretted not buying draft boosters - I didn’t get any magic archive cards that were really exciting, and the relatively small number of good cards I got (I got way more good cards from a kaldheim set booster box that I split with someone, which should tell you something)I realize there’s a random chance aspect to this, but I think it’s also that the Strixhaven set is a little short on cards total (even though there are some good ones) and do the watered down nature of how many STX cards you get from the set boosters makes this a bad deal.Everything arrived ahead of time, wasnt repacked, and didnt come tampered with. Good all around.Based on the value of some of the cards I got, I don't *think* my packs were reseals. But at the same time, they were all much looser in the individual booster packaging itself than normal. Almost like they had been resealed. Again, I don't think they were and I still got my packs very quickly. But just don't be nervous if your packs are loose.Came quickly but did not receive box topper like advertisedFoils are holding their shape similar to Zendikar Rising (aka better than Kaldheim but not perfect).Really interesting set with a variety of cards on offer.I love the Japanese cards and their art, and it's refreshing to have metallic foil used on cards subtly. If you can pick up a box for under $170 I'd highly recommend it. (05/2021)La caja de sobres fue justamente lo que pedí, completamente sellada. Solo que venía un poco golpeadaThe box came with zero damage.I got 7 mythic cards in the box, which was very surprising.10/10, would suggest based on my purchase.En general bien, pero las cartas foil dejan mucho que desear, los colores están apagados y algunas presentan líneas de impresión, además varias carras normales no se encuentran centradas.
